She serves as a Board member of ACTADE. She is an independent Consultant with core expertise in Trade and development. She previously worked as the Assistant Commissioner in the Department of Internal Trade and Coordinator for Uganda’s Enhanced Integrated Framework. Prior to that, she was a Principal Commercial Officer in charge of WTO activities including intellectual property, trade facilitation and implementation of the agreements in the Ministry of Tourism, Trade and Industry. She worked as an Associate consultant with The Ssemwanga Center as a Business Development Advisor focusing mainly on export market development. While working for Uganda Export Promotion Board, she was responsible for Trade promotion activities, which included market identification, provision of trade related information on market opportunities, organizing group participation in regional and international fairs and exhibitions. Ms. Tamale holds a B.A. Hons from Makerere University Kampala, MA from University of East Anglia (UK), certificate in Mastering Trade Policy from Harvard, a WTO Diploma in Trade Policy and certificates in export Market Development.
