Susan Nanduddu

Profile

Susan Nanduddu is the Executive Director of ACTADE since August 2015. Until then, she had served for over a year as a Board member of ACTADE. She is a development practitioner who has worked on various development topics including sustainable transport, good governance, climate change adaptation and green cities. She previously worked as an independent consultant, and as a staff of the Development Network of Indigenous Voluntary Associations (DENIVA).


Susan has over 15 years of continuous experience in development work in Uganda primarily with civil society organisations with regular engagements with government and private sector at all levels. Her core interest is in building resilience to climate change. Susan holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the Uganda Martyrs University, Nkozi. She enjoys farming during her free time.

Winnie Muwanguzi

Winnie Muwanguzi has 10 years working experience in Non-government organizations with expertise in Budget Analysis, Tracking and Advocacy; Tax and Trade advocacy, civic education, governance and accountability and strong skills in documentation of success stories. She has experience in project planning, management and learning, monitoring and evaluation, Financial Planning and Management, personnel management, fundraising, partnership and grant management. She has gained this experience through working with several organizations namely; International Foundation for Recovery and Development (IFRAD), Action Aid International Uganda Bwaise Branch, Reach Out Mbuya, Dynamic Business and Development Consultants LTD (Uganda); Islamic Women’s Initiative for Justice, Law and Peace (IWILAP) and Tusitukire wamu Women’s Group. Over the years, she has worked with youths, children, persons with disabilities and women to advance their interests in the districts and national budgets among other policy making platforms at local and national government levels.

Ms Winnie Muwanguzi has a Post graduate diploma in Project planning and Management, Uganda Management Institute (UMI and an Honors Degree in Development studies, attained from Uganda Christian University Mukono-majoring in Non-government organizations.

Currently she is working with African Centre for Trade and Development (ACTADE) as Program Manager; Partnership and stakeholder relations.

Jonathan Angura

Profile

Jonathan is a Programme Officer at ACTADE, currently coordinating Citizen Voice and Action (CVA) project under the Participatory budgeting programme area. He comes from a diverse mix of background and possesses a wealth of knowledge in advocacy work on public policy, social development, good governance and trade related aspects at national and higher level. He has previously handled the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) Programme, where he facilitated continuous multi-stakeholder dialogues on sustainable economic policies in Uganda.


He has authored and contributed to the development of a number of policy related information materials on socio-economic development issues. He has worked closely with policy makers at national and regional level to ensure pro development outcomes in various policy processes during his time at Council for African Policy (CAP). He has BA in Social Sciences from Makerere University and also an Einstein fellow.

Sandra Coote

Profile

Coote Sandra is a Programme Officer at ACTADE facilitating citizen participation in public decision making in the central region of Uganda, covering two districts of Mityana and Mubende She is in charge of coordinating the Civic Education and Capacity Building activities portfolio in the project area. This body of work is geared towards empowering citizens and creating a citizen’s agency that constructively engages with their leaders making the latter more responsive and accountable to the public, spurring for better service delivery. Sandra uses a lot of and has horned her experiences in using participatory approaches and strategies coupled with use of modern IT processes that amplify the work she does through radio and social media. She has contributed to various issue papers to inform advocacy.


Sandra started working in 2014 as a social media manager supporting large organizations like, Uganda Debt Network (UDN) and ACFODE to enhance visibility of their work through their social media platforms and other media houses. She is passionate about brands and visibility.
Sandra holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and Technology and a Diploma in Computing and Information Systems. She is currently pursuing a post-graduate diploma in Project Planning a Management.

Allen Lunkuse

Allen Lunkuse is currently working as a Programme Officer at ACTADE under Participatory Governance Programme. She has demonstrated exceptional leadership abilities in working with diversities over the past seven years through which she has worked in Bunyoro region and the Central region of Uganda.


Allen was a member of the Youth for Policy (Y4P), an initiative by Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), Before joining ACTADE, she worked as a volunteer with Voluntary Action for Development (VAD) under the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH) Programme.

Allen knows what drives sustainable development to be the empowerment of communities to take centre stage and over the years, she has garnered vast experience in Project Planning and Management, capacity building, documentation, budget analysis and policy advocacy. She has contributed towards increasing the resource envelope and supported in redefining ACTADE’s strategic direction and innovating towards inclusive development in ACTADE’s work. She is results-oriented and passionate about sustainable trade for improved livelihoods.
Allen is a certified Development worker with a Bachelor of Development Studies Degree from Kyambogo University.

Profile

I´m Anne Vonwirth and recently joined ACTADE as a volunteer for 6 months. Previously, I have been working in the fields of fair trade, Corporate Responsibility and Marketing. Having worked for a governmental agency, private companies, and a multi-stakeholder initiative, I am looking forward to contributing to the work of an NGO.
I just finished my MA in Sustainable Development Management and have a BSc. in International Business. I am fluent in English and German as well as conversational in Spanish and previously worked and studied in Germany, Australia, Netherlands, and England.
