Serves as a Treasurer of ACTADE. She is the Chief Executive Officer of the Uganda Fish Processors & Exporters Association where she is in charge of administration, overseeing and coordinating activities that concern fish processing value chain, certification of food safety and quality assurance management programs within the factories. She actively engages in private sector and government programs that promote private / public sector partnership in developing sector strategies, national policies and regulations that promote the Export Sector. She previously served as a Director responsible for Market Research and Product Development at the Uganda Export Promotion Board (UEPB) where she provided advisory services and technical support to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in identifying products with export potential and profiling them. Before that, she served as a Senior Cooperative officer at the Ministry of Trade & Industry. Mrs. Matovu holds a Masters of Arts Degree in Development Studies from the Institute of Social Studies, The Hague, The Netherlands, and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Geography, Makerere University, Kampala.
